Get in on the action on dad’s special day! Come out to the 32nd Annual Father’s Day Kite Fly, Sunday, June 16th at Goose Spit Park from 12:00 – 2:30 pm. Dads, moms, grandparents, friends and kids of all ages can come enjoy the beach and the colours and the shapes of the kites flying through the sky. Registration starts at noon and is FREE and open to everyone.

The Goatboys to rock Simms Park in Courtenay on Father’s Day
The Goatboys play a high energy show as part of the free Simms Park Summer Concert series season on Sunday, June 16 at 7 p.m.
The Goatboys are a three-piece party band from the Comox Valley. The band has been packing dance floors coast to coast since 2006. A Goatboys show is a unique experience with a blending of bluegrass, rock, folk, dance, reggae and even a bit of punk heavily influenced by the ’90s.
Father’s Day concert in Marina Park in Comox
The Comox Valley Concert Band performs at Marina Park in Comox on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16 at 2 p.m.
This 50-piece wind ensemble under the direction of Denise Marquette has been entertaining Valley audiences for over 100 years. The band performs annually at the Cumberland Remembrance Day Service, Courtenay’s July 1st celebrations, as well as fall and spring concerts sponsored by the Evergreen Club.
